Method

Cider Preparation

1

Prepare the Base

In a large mixing bowl, combine the fresh apple juice, water, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.

2

Add Yeast

Sprinkle the yeast over the mixture and stir gently to incorporate. Let it sit for 5 minutes to activate the yeast.

3

Fermentation

Transfer the mixture to a fermentation vessel, add the cinnamon stick, and cover with an airlock or cloth. Let it ferment in a cool, dark place for about 7-10 days.

4

Taste and Adjust

After fermentation, taste the cider. If it's too sweet, you can add a bit more lemon juice to balance the flavor.

5

Bottling

Once fermentation is complete, siphon the cider into a clean can or bottle, leaving some space at the top. Seal the container tightly.

6

Chill and Serve

Refrigerate the cider for at least 24 hours before serving. Pour into a glass and enjoy your homemade Lonetree Cider!
