Preparation

1

Prepare the Cucumber

Wash the cucumber thoroughly under running water. Slice the cucumber into thin rounds, about 1/8 inch thick. Set aside.

2

Muddle the Mint

In a glass, add the fresh mint leaves. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press the leaves, releasing their essential oils and aroma. Be careful not to shred the leaves too much; just bruise them.

3

Juice the Lime

Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice from both halves into the glass over the muddled mint. You can use a citrus juicer for this step if you have one.

Assembly

4

Combine Ingredients

Add the cucumber slices to the glass with the muddled mint and lime juice. Gently stir to combine all the ingredients.

5

Add Soda Water

Pour the soda water into the glass over the cucumber and mint mixture. Stir gently to combine, ensuring that the mint and cucumber are evenly distributed.

6

Garnish and Serve

If desired, garnish with a sprig of mint or an additional cucumber slice on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately over ice for a refreshing drink.
