Cocktail

Method

Cocktail

1

Prepare glass

Fill a Collins or highball glass with ice to chill while you measure ingredients.

2

Add 2 oz cinnamon whiskey to a cocktail shaker (or directly into a mixing glass) followed by 3 oz apple cider and 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice.

3

If using a shaker: add a small handful of ice, cap, and shake vigorously for 8–10 seconds to chill and slightly dilute. If not shaking, stir briskly in the mixing glass for 10–15 seconds.

4

Dump the ice from the chilled serving glass and refill with fresh ice (about 1 cup). Strain the shaken mixture into the glass over the fresh ice.

5

Top gently with 1 oz ginger beer (or ginger ale) to add fizz and a bright ginger note; give a gentle stir (1–2 turns) to combine.

Garnish & Finish

6

Float or slot a thin apple slice on the rim or surface of the drink.

7

Optionally sprinkle a light pinch (about 1/4 tsp) of ground cinnamon over the apple slice or the top of the drink for extra aroma. Serve immediately.
