OLD FASHIONED

This sweet punch of blackberry, plum, and cherry tastes is full-bodied, well-defined, and juicy.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the blackberries, diced plums, and pitted cherries. Gently mash the fruits with a fork to release some juices, but keep some whole for texture.

Prepare the fruits

In a large pitcher, combine the mashed fruit with the red wine (Shiraz) and simple syrup. Stir well to combine.

Combine ingredients

Refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.

Chill

To serve, fill glasses with ice, pour the chilled punch over the ice, and top with sparkling water. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
