Method

Instructions for Making Pan Con Ajo

1

Prepare the Garlic Butter

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Peel the garlic cloves and place them in a small baking dish. Add olive oil and cover the dish with foil. Roast in the oven for about 20 minutes, until the garlic is soft and fragrant.

2

Mix the Butter

In a medium bowl, combine the roasted garlic (squeezed out of their skins), unsalted butter, chopped fresh parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and smooth.

3

Prepare the Baguette

Slice the baguette into 1-inch thick slices and place them on a baking sheet.

4

Spread the Garlic Butter

Generously spread the garlic butter mixture on each slice of baguette.

5

Toast the Bread

Place the baking sheet in the oven and toast for about 10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and crispy.

6

Serve

Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm as a delicious appetizer or side dish.
