Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare Baking Pan

Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.

Making the Base

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.

Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

Adding the Filling

Add Blueberries

Gently fold in the fresh blueberries and lemon zest into the batter.

Add Brown Sugar

Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top of the batter and gently fold it in to distribute evenly.

Baking

Bake the Conundrum

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Finishing Touches

Cool and Dust

Once baked, allow the conundrum to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, dust with powdered sugar and garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Cut into squares and serve warm or at room temperature.
