Preparation

1

Prepare the Glass

Take a lime wedge and run it around the rim of a chilled glass. Dip the rim into a plate of salt to coat it evenly.

2

Mix the Base

In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, fresh grapefruit juice, and fresh lime juice. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.

Assembly

3

Combine and Serve

Strain the mixture from the shaker into the prepared glass, leaving room at the top. Slowly pour in the sparkling water or club soda to fill the glass.

4

Garnish

Garnish the drink with a lime wedge and a slice of grapefruit on the rim of the glass.
