Fernet-Branca (single serving)

For a longer highball-style serve (optional)

Method

Fernet-Branca (single serving)

1

Prepare glass

Select a small rocks glass or cordial glass. Fill the glass with 6 ice cubes to chill it while you measure the liqueur.

2

Measure 2 tablespoons (about 30 ml) of Fernet-Branca and pour it over the ice in the chilled glass.

3

Top with about 60 ml cold water or soda water, depending on how diluted you prefer the bitterness. Stir gently with a bar spoon for 8–10 seconds to combine and slightly chill the mixture.

4

If desired, express a lemon twist over the glass to release oils, rub the twist on the rim, and drop it in. Serve immediately.

For a longer highball-style serve (optional)

5

Fill a highball glass with 8 ice cubes.

6

Pour 1.5 tablespoons (about 22–25 ml) of Fernet-Branca over the ice.

7

Top with 120 ml chilled soda water. Stir gently once or twice to integrate without removing carbonation.

8

Garnish with a lime or lemon wedge if you like. Serve with a straw or stirrer.
