Cocktail
Method
Cocktail
Build bitters base
In a mixing glass, add the orange bitters (3 dashes), aromatic bitters (1 dash), elderflower liqueur (1/2 tablespoon), fresh lemon juice (1/2 tsp) and simple syrup (1/4 tsp).
Stir with ice
Add 6 ice cubes to the mixing glass and stir gently for about 10–15 seconds until the mixture is well-chilled and slightly diluted (aim for about 10–15% dilution).
Strain
Discard the ice or water from the chilled glass. Using a julep or fine strainer, strain the chilled bitters mixture into the flute or coupe.
Top with rosé bubbles
Carefully top the strained bitters base with 6 oz chilled rosé sparkling wine. Pour gently down the side of the glass to preserve effervescence.
Finish and garnish
Express an orange twist over the surface to release aromatic oils, then drop it into the glass. Optionally float an edible flower on top for a pretty presentation.
Serve
Serve immediately while the cocktail is cold and bubbly.
