Preparation

1

Prepare the Glass

Chill a cocktail glass by filling it with ice water. Set aside while you prepare the drink.

2

Make the Crimson Simple Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine equal parts water and sugar. Add a few drops of red food coloring, if desired, to achieve a crimson color. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, then let it cool completely.

Mixing the Drink

3

Combine Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz of vodka, 1 oz of fresh lemon juice, and 1 oz of crimson simple syrup.

4

Shake the Mixture

Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well-chilled.

5

Add Pomegranate Purée

Strain the mixture into the chilled cocktail glass, then gently pour 1 oz of velvet pomegranate purée over the top, allowing it to settle at the bottom.

Garnishing

6

Garnish the Cocktail

Add a lemon wheel and sprinkle pomegranate seeds on top for garnish.

7

Serve

Serve immediately and enjoy your Crimson cocktail!
