Prepare the glass
Choose a highball or pint glass. Run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass to moisten it, then dip the rim into the coarse salt spread on a small plate to lightly salt the rim. Fill the glass with ice and set aside.
Build the cocktail
Add the blanco tequila (2 oz) and fresh lime juice (1/2 oz) directly into the prepared glass over the ice.
Garnish and serve
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim and an optional grapefruit twist. Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer.
