Cocktail
Method
Cocktail
Combine ingredients
Add the vodka, crème de cacao, cranberry juice, heavy cream, and simple syrup (if using) into a cocktail shaker.
Add ice
Fill the shaker with ice cubes, leaving enough space to shake vigorously (about 6 standard cubes).
Shake
Shake the mixture vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker becomes frosty and the cream is fully integrated and slightly aerated. This creates a silky texture and pale pink color.
Strain
Double-strain (use a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer if available) into a chilled coupe or martini glass to remove ice shards and produce a smooth finish.
Garnish and serve
Garnish with 2 fresh cranberries skewered on a cocktail pick or a lemon twist placed on the rim. Serve immediately.
Balance adjustments (optional)
If the drink tastes too sweet, add up to 1/4 tsp fresh lime juice and gently stir. If it’s too tart, add another 1/4 oz simple syrup and re-shake briefly with no extra ice.
