Method

Cocktail

1

Build and chill

Fill a highball or Collins glass with ice (about 1 cup). Pour 2 oz Bumbu Original Banana Rum over the ice.

2

Add modifiers

Add 0.5 oz fresh lime juice and 0.25 oz simple syrup to the glass to balance the banana rum's sweetness and brighten the flavors.

3

Top with cola

Slowly top the drink with 4 oz Coca-Cola to preserve carbonation and create a layered effect. Gently stir once with a bar spoon (4–6 gentle turns) to integrate.

4

Finish with bitters

Add 2 dashes Angostura bitters on top; let them float briefly to add aromatic complexity and mild spice that complements the banana and cinnamon notes.

Garnish & Serve

5

Garnish the drink by placing 1 cinnamon stick into the glass standing upright or angled so it rests against the rim. Thread a single banana slice on the rim and add a lime wheel on the opposite side for color and an optional squeeze.

6

Optional aroma: hold the cinnamon stick briefly over a lighter or culinary torch flame (a quick 1–2 second warm moment, not burning) to release oils, then place it in the glass for an intensified cinnamon aroma.

7

Serve immediately with a straw (if desired). Recommend encouraging the drinker to stir gently before the first sip to combine flavors fully.
