Method
Manhattan
Build & Stir
Add 2 oz Bulleit Bourbon, 1 oz sweet vermouth and 2 dashes Angostura bitters into a mixing glass filled with ice.
Stir briskly with a bar spoon for 20–30 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted.
Express an orange peel over the drink to release oils, discard or rim the glass with the peel, then garnish with a Luxardo or cocktail cherry.
Old Fashioned
Muddle & Build
Place 1 sugar cube (or 0.25 oz simple syrup) in a rocks glass. Add 2 dashes Angostura bitters.
If using a sugar cube, muddle with a splash (about 0.25 oz) of water to dissolve. If using simple syrup, stir to combine.
Add 2 oz Bulleit Bourbon and one large ice cube (or a few large cubes).
Stir gently for 15–20 seconds to chill and slightly dilute.
Express an orange peel over the glass, rub the rim with the peel, and drop it into the drink. Garnish optionally with a cherry.
Mule
Shake & Pour
Fill a shaker with ice. Add 2 oz Bulleit Bourbon and 0.5 oz fresh lime juice. (Alternatively, build directly in the mug if preferred.)
Shake briefly (about 8–10 seconds) to chill and combine.
Strain into a copper mug or highball glass filled with crushed or cubed ice.
Top with about 4 oz chilled ginger beer and gently stir once to combine.
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge. Serve with a straw if desired.
