Cooking Instructions

1

Cook the Pasta

In a large pot of boiling salted water, add the fettuccine or tagliatelle. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

2

Prepare the Sauce

While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

3

Add Tomatoes

Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the tomatoes start to soften and release their juices.

4

Combine Pasta and Sauce

Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the rest. Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the tomato mixture. Toss well to combine.

5

Adjust Consistency

If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to reach the desired consistency. Stir in the chopped basil, salt, and freshly ground black pepper.

6

Serve

Remove from heat and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top. Serve immediately, garnished with additional basil if desired.
