Method

Preparing Meatballs

1

Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix well until fully combined.

2

Form Meatballs

Using your hands, shape the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter.

3

Cook Meatballs

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of olive oil. Cook the meatballs in batches until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Making Marinara Sauce

4

Sauté Onions and Garlic

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Sauté the chopped onion until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes.

5

Add Tomatoes and Seasonings

Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer.

6

Combine Meatballs with Sauce

Return the browned meatballs to the skillet, cover, and let simmer for 20 minutes.

Cooking Spaghetti

7

Boil Water

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.

8

Cook Spaghetti

Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Serving

9

Combine and Serve

Serve the spaghetti topped with meatballs and marinara sauce. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil if desired.
