Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

1

Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, crumbled Gorgonzola cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are well incorporated.

2

Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, ensuring they are slightly larger than the ciabatta rolls as they will shrink while cooking.

Cook the Toppings

3

Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the maple pepper bacon until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess fat.

4

Grill the Onions

In the same skillet, add the sliced sweet onions and sauté until they are caramelized and golden brown, about 8-10 minutes. Set aside.

Cook the Burger

5

Grill the Patties

Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Place the burger patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of white cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

Assemble the Burger

6

Prepare the Ciabatta

Slice the ciabatta rolls in half and lightly grill or toast them until golden. This will add extra texture and flavor.

7

Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each ciabatta roll, layer the arugula, the grilled burger patty with melted cheddar, the caramelized onions, and two slices of maple pepper bacon. Top with a generous dollop of horseradish cream and the top half of the ciabatta roll.
