Margarita Mix

Method

Prepare Glass

1

Rim the Glass

Run a lime wedge around the rim of a large margarita or Collins glass. Dip the rim into a shallow plate of coarse salt or Tajín to coat. Set the glass aside.

Mix Cocktail

2

Add Ingredients to Shaker

In a cocktail shaker, add 3 oz blanco tequila, 2 oz freshly squeezed orange juice, 1 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz agave syrup, and 0.5 oz triple sec (if using).

3

Add Ice and Shake

Add about 1 cup of ice to the shaker. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds, until the shaker is cold and well-chilled.

4

Strain into Glass

Fill the prepared glass with fresh ice (if desired). Double-strain the shaken mixture into the glass to remove ice shards and pulp, leaving room at the top for the Grand Marnier float.

Finish & Garnish

5

Float Grand Marnier

Slowly pour 0.5 oz Grand Marnier over the back of a spoon held just above the drink surface so it gently floats on top, creating a glossy orange layer and aromatic head.

6

Garnish and Serve

Garnish with an orange wheel or a long orange twist on the rim. Serve immediately with a straw and a napkin. Optionally, provide a small spoon so guests can stir the Grand Marnier into the drink as they wish.
