Cocktail

Method

Cocktail

1

Prepare cocktail

Add 2 oz bourbon, 1 oz banana crème liqueur, 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice, 0.5 oz pure maple syrup, and 2 dashes Angostura bitters into a cocktail shaker.

2

Fill the shaker about two-thirds full with ice (about 1 cup) and secure the lid.

3

Vigorously shake for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is cold and well-chilled (this both chills and slightly dilutes the drink, integrating the viscous maple and banana liqueur).

4

Strain the mixture over fresh crushed ice or a large ice cube in an old-fashioned glass.

Garnish & Serve

5

Express the oils of a lemon twist over the drink by holding the twist skin-side down and giving it a quick pinch, then rub the twist around the glass rim and drop it in or place it on the rim.

6

Float a thin banana slice on the ice or skewer it on a pick and rest across the glass. Add a mint sprig if using for an aromatic lift.

7

Serve immediately with a short stirring straw so the drinker can adjust dilution; enjoy responsibly.
