1

Prepare glass

Chill a highball or rocks glass briefly (optional). Drizzle 1/2 to 1 tablespoon caramel sauce inside the glass in a spiral or along the rim so it creates a decorative streak. If using, rim the glass with crushed shortbread or cookie crumbs by wetting the rim lightly with caramel and dipping into crumbs.

2

Build the drink

Add the ice to the prepared glass leaving room for liquid. Pour 1.5 oz Stoli Vanilla Vodka and 1 oz butterscotch schnapps over the ice.

3

Add sweetener and dairy

Add 0.5 oz vanilla simple syrup, then pour in 1 oz half-and-half.

4

Top with root beer

Slowly top with 3 oz chilled root beer. Stir gently once with a bar spoon (2–3 slow turns) to combine the spirits, cream and soda without flattening the root beer.

5

Finish & garnish

Float a light drizzle (about 1/2 tablespoon) of caramel sauce on top and, if desired, add 2 tablespoons whipped cream. Garnish with an extra caramel drizzle and a sprinkle of shortbread crumbs or a small vanilla bean piece.

6

Serve

Serve immediately with a straw or cocktail spoon. Encourage the drinker to stir before sipping if the caramel has settled.
