Cocktail Base

Method

Prep & Build

1

Chill glass

If desired, chill a tall Collins or wine glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes before building the drink.

2

Fill the chilled glass with ice to about 3/4 full (roughly 1 cup).

3

Into a cocktail shaker (or mixing glass) add the Finest Call red sangria, filthy cherry syrup, sweet & sour mix, and orange juice.

4

Add a few ice cubes to the shaker, then cap and shake vigorously for 6–8 seconds to combine and slightly chill the ingredients. If you prefer less dilution, gently roll or stir the mixture in a mixing glass for 8–10 seconds instead.

5

Strain (or pour) the shaken mixture over the ice in the prepared glass.

Finish & Serve

6

Top the poured sangria mixture with 2 oz chilled club soda (adjust to taste) to create the spritzer effervescence. Gently stir once with a bar spoon to integrate the soda without flattening the bubbles.

7

Garnish with an orange wheel on the rim and a maraschino or fresh cherry dropped into the drink.

8

Serve immediately with a straw or cocktail pick for the cherry.
