1

Prepare

Chill a coupe or martini glass by filling it with ice and a little cold water, or place it in the freezer for a few minutes.

2

Measure & Add

In a cocktail shaker, measure and pour 1 oz Cointreau and 0.75 oz freshly squeezed lime juice. If you prefer a sweeter drink, add 0.25 oz simple syrup.

3

Add Ice & Shake

Add about 4–6 ice cubes to the shaker (approximately 5 cubes). Secure the shaker and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds, until the shaker feels well chilled and slightly frosty.

4

Strain

Discard the ice/water from the chilled glass. Double-strain the shaken cocktail into the chilled coupe or martini glass using a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer to remove ice shards and pulp.

5

Garnish & Serve

Garnish with a lime wheel on the rim or a lime twist expressed over the drink. Serve immediately.
