Preparation

1

Prepare the Beef

Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips against the grain. This will help keep the beef tender during cooking.

2

Chop the Vegetables

Julienne the bell pepper and carrot. Cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Rinse the snap peas. Mince the garlic and grate the ginger.

Sauce Preparation

3

Mix the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, water, honey, and black pepper. Stir until the cornstarch is dissolved and the mixture is smooth.

Cooking

4

Stir-Fry the Beef

In a large skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes or until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

5

Stir-Fry the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if necessary. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, stir-frying for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Then add the bell pepper, broccoli, carrots, and snap peas. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are just tender.

6

Combine and Cook

Return the beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and vegetables. Stir well to coat everything in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is heated through.

Serving

7

Garnish and Serve

Sprinkle sesame seeds over the stir-fry and garnish with sliced green onions. Serve hot over rice or noodles if desired.
