Assembly
Chill a coupe glass
Place a coupe glass in the freezer or fill with ice and cold water for 1–2 minutes, then discard the ice and dry the glass.
Add 2 oz Macallan Scotch Whisky, 0.75 oz dry vermouth, and 0.25 oz maple syrup to a mixing glass.
Add 2 ml orange bitters to the mixing glass.
Add 2 ice cubes into the mixing glass and stir gently for about 20 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted.
Strain the mixture into the chilled coupe glass, removing the ice.
Finish
Optional citrus finish
Gently express an orange peel over the drink to release oils, wipe the rim, and drop the peel into the drink or discard.
