Method

Cocktail

1

Prepare glass

If using a crushed peppermint rim, run a lemon or simple syrup around the edge of a chilled coupe or martini glass and dip the rim into crushed peppermint candy. Set glass aside in the freezer or refrigerator to chill while you mix the drink.

2

Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add the vodka, peppermint schnapps, white chocolate liqueur, vanilla liqueur (or syrup), coffee liqueur, chilled cold brew, and ice.

3

Shake

Shake vigorously for 12–18 seconds until the shaker is well chilled and slightly frosted. This both chills and dilutes the cocktail to the proper balance.

4

Strain

Double-strain (using the shaker strainer and a fine mesh strainer if available) into the chilled coupe or martini glass to remove ice shards and achieve a smooth texture.

5

Finish

If using cream/half-and-half for a richer mouthfeel, gently float or pour it over the back of a spoon onto the drink to create a subtle layer; otherwise proceed to garnish.

Garnish

6

Sprinkle the shaved white chocolate over the top of the cocktail. If you prepared a peppermint rim, the crushed candy adds additional texture and aroma. Serve immediately.
