Mushrooms

Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the mushrooms

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Clean the crimini mushrooms and remove the stems. Arrange them on a baking sheet, cavity side up.

2

Make the lemon garlic butter

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Stir in lemon juice, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper.

3

Fill the mushrooms

Pour a generous amount of the lemon garlic butter into each mushroom cap. Top with grated aged cheddar cheese.

Cooking

4

Roast the mushrooms

Bake the filled mushrooms in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

5

Prepare the bread

While the mushrooms are roasting, toast the slices of crusty bread until golden brown.

Serving

6

Serve the dish

Remove the mushrooms from the oven and let cool for a minute. Serve warm with toasted crusty bread for dipping.
