Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This allows for even cooking.

2

Season the Steak

Pat the steaks dry with paper towels. Rub both sides of each steak with olive oil. Season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and sprinkle fresh rosemary on both sides.

Grilling

3

Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, around 450°F (232°C). Make sure the grill grates are clean and lightly oiled.

4

Grill the Steak

Place the seasoned ribeye steaks on the grill. Grill for 4-5 minutes on one side without moving them to achieve a good sear.

5

Flip and Cook

Flip the steaks and grill for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare doneness. Adjust the cooking time to your preferred doneness: 3-4 minutes for rare, 5-6 minutes for medium, and 6-7 minutes for medium-well.

6

Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest on a cutting board for 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.

Serving

7

Serve the Steak

If using, melt butter and pour it over the steaks before serving. Serve with lemon wedges for an added tangy flavor.
