Hummus Preparation

Blend the Ingredients

In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, salt, cumin, and water. Blend until smooth. Adjust the seasoning to taste.

Kafta Preparation

Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, parsley, allspice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and form into oval-shaped patties.

Cook the Kafta

Grill or pan-fry the kafta patties on medium-high heat for about 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through.

Garlic Butter Preparation

Melt the Butter

In a small pan, melt the butter, then add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Basil Chimichurri Preparation

Combine the Ingredients

In a blender, combine basil leaves, olive oil, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth.

Fried Pita Preparation

Fry the Pita

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Cut pita bread into triangles and fry until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.

Assembly

Assemble the Dish

Spread a generous layer of hummus on a serving plate, top with kafta, drizzle garlic butter, and garnish with diced tomatoes, toasted pine nuts, and basil chimichurri. Serve with fried pita on the side.
