Hummus

Method

Hummus Preparation

1

Blend the Ingredients

In a food processor, combine the canned chickpeas, tahini, garlic cloves, lemon juice, olive oil, ground cumin, salt, and water.

2

Blend Until Smooth

Blend the mixture until smooth. If the hummus is too thick, add a little more water until the desired consistency is reached.

Foul Preparation

3

Prepare the Fava Beans

In a separate bowl, mash the canned fava beans slightly with a fork or potato masher.

4

Combine Ingredients

Add minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, ground cumin, salt, and water to the fava beans and mix well.

5

Garnish with Parsley

Stir in the chopped fresh parsley just before serving.

Garnishing the Dish

6

Drizzle with Olive Oil

On a serving platter, spread the hummus and top with the foul mixture. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle paprika and chopped parsley on top.

7

Serve

Serve immediately as a dip with pita bread or as a spread.
