Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

1

Muddle the Mint and Sugar

In a sturdy glass, add the fresh mint leaves and granulated sugar. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently crush the mint leaves with the sugar to release the mint oils. Be careful not to over-muddle, as this can make the drink bitter.

2

Add Lime Juice

Squeeze the fresh lime to obtain 1 oz of lime juice and pour it into the glass with the muddled mint and sugar. Stir gently to combine the ingredients.

3

Add Rum

Pour 2 oz of white rum into the glass and stir the mixture to dissolve the sugar completely.

4

Add Ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes to chill the drink.

5

Top with Club Soda

Pour 4 oz of club soda over the ice and give the drink a gentle stir to combine all ingredients.

6

Garnish

Garnish the mojito with a sprig of fresh mint and a slice of lime for a decorative touch.
