Preparing the Latte Base

1

Brew the Espresso

Brew 2 shots of espresso using an espresso machine or a stovetop espresso maker. Set aside.

2

Heat the Milk

In a small saucepan over medium heat, heat 1 cup of milk until steaming but not boiling. Remove from heat.

3

Mix in Chocolate and Peppermint

Add 2 tablespoons of dark chocolate syrup, 1 teaspoon of peppermint extract, and 1 tablespoon of sugar to the hot milk. Whisk until well combined and the chocolate is melted.

4

Combine with Espresso

Pour the brewed espresso into the milk mixture and stir gently to combine all ingredients.

Assembling the Drink

5

Prepare the Toppings

In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup of cream until soft peaks form. Set aside.

6

Serve the Latte

Pour the peppermint mocha latte into a large mug or glass. Top generously with whipped cream.

7

Add Crushed Peppermint

Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of crushed peppermint candies on top of the whipped cream for an extra festive touch.
