Method

Salad Preparation

1

Grill the Pears

Preheat the grill to medium heat. Cut the pears in half, remove the core, and brush lightly with olive oil. Grill the pears cut-side down for about 4-5 minutes until grill marks appear. Flip and grill for another 3-4 minutes until tender. Remove from the grill and slice.

2

Prepare the Vinaigrette

In a small bowl, whisk together honey, sherry vinegar, and olive oil. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

3

Assemble the Salad

In a large bowl, combine the baby spinach, grilled pear slices, and crumbled blue cheese. Drizzle with the honey-sherry vinaigrette and toss gently to combine.

Spicy Pecan Dust Preparation

4

Make the Pecan Dust

In a skillet over medium heat, add the chopped pecans, cayenne pepper, and brown sugar. Toast the mixture for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently until the pecans are fragrant and the sugar has melted slightly. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

Final Assembly

5

Serve

Sprinkle the spicy pecan dust over the assembled salad just before serving. Enjoy!
