Fish Preparation

1

Prepare the Spice Mixture

In a small bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

2

Coat the Haddock

Set up a dredging station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten egg, and one with the panko mixture. Dip each haddock fillet first into the flour, shaking off excess, then into the egg, and finally coat with the panko mixture.

3

Fry the Haddock

In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the coated haddock fillets and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Prepare Sides

While the haddock is cooking, prepare your chosen sides. For home cut fries, fry them in oil until golden and crispy. For mashed potatoes, boil potatoes until soft, then mash with butter and season to taste. For rice, cook according to package instructions, and steam the frozen peas until tender.
