Cocktail

Method

Cocktail

1

Prepare glass

If serving chilled without dilution, place your serving glass (coupe, martini, or rocks) in the freezer for 5–10 minutes. Otherwise fill the glass with ice to chill while you mix, then discard ice before pouring.

2

Combine ingredients

Add 1.5 oz Bacardi Limon, 1 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz Midori, 0.25 oz light cream, and 0.25 oz simple syrup (optional) into a cocktail shaker.

3

Add ice and shake

Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels very cold and slightly frosted. The shake both chills and emulsifies the cream for a silky texture.

4

Strain and serve

Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled or emptied serving glass using a Hawthorne strainer and, optionally, a fine mesh strainer to catch any ice shards or pulp. For a short serve, use a coupe or rocks glass; for a taller, slightly looser drink, serve over fresh ice in a rocks glass.

Garnish & Finish

5

Garnish the cocktail with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. If desired, express a small strip of lime zest over the drink to release oils and drop it in as a final aromatic touch.
