Method

Cocktail

1

Chill glass

Place a coupe or martini glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes (or fill with ice water while you prepare the drink) to chill.

2

Combine ingredients

Add Smirnoff Vanilla vodka, white crème de cacao, green crème de menthe, and heavy cream to a cocktail shaker.

3

Add ice and shake

Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the shaker is very cold and the exterior is frosty. This both chills and slightly emulsifies the cream for a thick, silky texture.

4

Strain

Discard ice from the chilled glass (if used). Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled glass using a Hawthorne strainer and, if available, a fine-mesh strainer to remove tiny ice shards for a smooth finish.

5

Serve

Serve immediately while cold and slightly frothy. The drink should be thick, creamy, and minty with a light green hue.

Garnish (optional)

6

Top the finished cocktail with a small dollop (about 1 tbs) of whipped cream in the center.

7

Add a fresh mint sprig on the whipped cream or rim for aroma.

8

Finish with a light sprinkle of dark chocolate shavings over the cream for contrast and a bit of texture.
