Mojito Preparation

1

Prepare the Mint

In a sturdy glass, add the fresh mint leaves and granulated sugar. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently muddle the mint and sugar together. This releases the mint oils and helps dissolve the sugar.

2

Juice the Lime

Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice into the glass, being careful to avoid getting any seeds in the mixture. If you prefer, you can also cut the lime into wedges and muddle it with the mint and sugar for added flavor.

3

Add the Rum

Pour the white rum into the glass over the muddled mint, sugar, and lime mixture. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients.

4

Add Ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes to the top.

5

Top with Club Soda

Pour the club soda over the ice until the glass is almost full. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients without losing the fizz.

6

Garnish and Serve

Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a lime wedge if desired. Serve immediately with a straw.
