Poaching the Pears

Prepare the Poaching Liquid

In a medium saucepan, combine water and white balsamic vinegar. Bring to a gentle simmer.

Poach the Pears

Peel the pears, slice them in half, and remove the cores. Add the pear halves to the simmering liquid and poach for about 10-15 minutes until tender. Remove and let cool.

Assembling the Salad

Prepare the Greens

In a large bowl, combine radicchio and arugula.

Slice the Onions

Thinly slice the red onion and add it to the greens.

Prepare the Vinaigrette

In a small bowl, whisk together white balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, salt, and black pepper to taste.

Combine Salad

Add the toasted walnuts and poached pear halves to the salad mix. Drizzle with vinaigrette and toss gently to combine.
