Method

Filling

1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2

Wash, peel, and slice the fresh peaches into thin wedges.

3

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches, granulated sugar, flour, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Toss until the peaches are evenly coated.

4

Pour the peach mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

Topping

5

In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.

6

Stir in the milk until the batter is smooth.

7

Melt the stick of unsalted butter and pour it into the batter. Mix until combined.

8

Pour the batter evenly over the peach filling in the baking dish.

Baking

9

Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the cobbler comes out clean.

10

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Serving

11

Scoop the warm peach cobbler into bowls and top each serving with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

12

Enjoy your homemade peach cobbler!
