Method

Prepare Bread Pudding

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

2

Prepare the Bread

Cut the French bread into 1-inch cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.

3

Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the whole milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.

4

Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet mixture over the bread cubes, gently folding to ensure all pieces are coated. Let it sit for 10 minutes to absorb.

5

Bake the Pudding

Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown and set in the center.

Sauté Bananas

6

Slice the Bananas

Peel and slice the ripe bananas into half-moon shapes.

7

Sauté the Bananas

In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sliced bananas, brown sugar, banana liqueur, and bourbon. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring gently until the bananas are caramelized and coated in the sauce.

Assemble and Serve

8

Serve the Bread Pudding

Once the bread pudding is baked, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes.

9

Top with Bananas

Spoon the sautéed banana mixture over the warm bread pudding.

10

Add Toppings

Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
