Make the Sweet and Sour Mix

In a cocktail shaker, combine fresh lemon juice and simple syrup. Shake well to combine and chill.

Prepare the Glass

Fill a rocks glass with ice cubes to chill the glass while you prepare the cocktail.

Mixing the Cocktail

Combine Ingredients

In the cocktail shaker, add 2 oz of Four Roses Bourbon and the prepared sweet and sour mix (1 oz of lemon juice and 1 oz of simple syrup).

Shake

Shake the mixture vigorously for about 15 seconds to combine and chill the ingredients.

Finishing Touches

Strain into Glass

Remove the ice from the rocks glass and strain the cocktail mixture into the glass over fresh ice.

Float the Port

Carefully pour 0.5 oz of Fonseca Bin 27 Port over the back of a spoon, allowing it to float on top of the cocktail.

Garnish and Serve

Add a cocktail cherry on top as a garnish. Serve immediately and enjoy your Carson's Whiskey Sour!
