Infused Tequila
Bloody Mary Mix
Method
Infusing the Tequila
Prepare the Ingredients
Peel and slice the fresh ginger into thin strips. Slice the Serrano peppers in half lengthwise, removing seeds if you prefer less heat.
Infuse the Tequila
In a clean glass jar, combine the Camarena Reposado Tequila, sliced ginger, and Serrano peppers. Seal the jar tightly.
Steep
Let the mixture steep in a cool, dark place for at least 24 hours, up to 3 days for a stronger flavor. Shake the jar gently every few hours.
Preparing the Bloody Mary Mix
Combine Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl or pitcher, combine the tomato juice, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, celery salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and horseradish.
Mix Well
Stir the mixture well until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the seasoning is evenly distributed.
Assembling the Tequila Mary
Strain the Infused Tequila
Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the infused tequila into a clean glass, discarding the ginger and Serrano peppers.
Combine with Bloody Mary Mix
In a shaker with ice, combine the strained infused tequila with approximately 150 ml of the Bloody Mary mix. Shake gently to combine.
Serve
Pour the mixture into a tall glass filled with ice. Garnish with a celery stalk and a lemon wedge.
