Prepare the Shaker
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes to chill the ingredients.
Add Ingredients
Pour the vodka, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup into the shaker.
Shake It Up
Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well mixed and chilled.
Strain into Glass
Strain the mixture into a highball glass filled with ice.
Top with Soda
Gently pour the soda water over the top of the cocktail to add fizz.
