Preparation

1

Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2

Prepare the Baguette

Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet.

3

Brush with Olive Oil

Using a brush, coat one side of each baguette slice with olive oil.

Topping Preparation

4

Chop Tomatoes

Dice the fresh tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

5

Add Garlic and Basil

Mince the garlic cloves and chop the fresh basil leaves. Add both to the bowl with the diced tomatoes.

6

Season the Mixture

Sprinkle the salt and black pepper into the tomato mixture. Stir everything together until well combined.

Toasting and Serving

7

Toast the Bread

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and toast the baguette slices for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden brown.

Remove the toasted baguette slices from the oven and let them cool slightly. Top each slice with a generous spoonful of the tomato mixture.

9

Serve

Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and serve immediately while still warm.
