Preparation

1

Muddle the Mint

In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, place the fresh mint leaves and the lime. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently crush the mint and lime together. This releases the mint oils and lime juice, creating a flavorful base for your mojito.

2

Add Rum and Simple Syrup

Pour the white rum and simple syrup into the muddled mixture. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients. The simple syrup will add sweetness to balance the tartness of the lime.

3

Add Club Soda

Fill the glass with ice cubes, then slowly pour the club soda over the mixture. Stir gently to combine, taking care not to lose the fizz of the soda.

Garnishing

4

Garnish the Drink

Take the mint sprigs and lime wedges and use them to garnish your mojito. Place the mint sprigs on top of the drink and position the lime wedges on the side of the glass for an attractive presentation.

5

Serve

Serve the Coati Mojito immediately with a straw or stirring stick for a refreshing sip.
