Method
Beef Preparation
Marinate the Steak
In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the flank steak to the marinade, ensuring it is well-coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
Cook the Steak
Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the flank steak from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Grill or sear the steak for about 6-8 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is achieved. Once cooked, remove from heat and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
Slice the Steak
After resting, slice the flank steak against the grain into thin strips.
Nacho Assembly
Prepare the Base
On a large baking sheet or oven-safe dish, spread an even layer of tortilla chips.
Add the Beef
Evenly distribute the sliced flank steak over the tortilla chips.
Layer with Cheese and Beans
Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the beef, followed by the black beans.
Bake the Nachos
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish and Serve
Remove from the oven and top with dollops of sour cream, guacamole, sliced jalapeños, and chopped cilantro. Serve immediately and enjoy your Asada Naches!
