Meat and Vegetables

Spicy Sauce

Method

Preparation

1

Marinate the Meat

In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, lime juice, minced chipotle peppers, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper. Add the flank steak, ensuring it is well coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight in the refrigerator for more flavor.

2

Prepare the Vegetables

Slice the mushrooms, onion, and bell pepper. Set them aside for later use.

Cooking

3

Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper, and sauté for about 5 minutes until they start to soften. Add the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic, and cook for another 3-4 minutes until all the vegetables are tender. Remove the vegetables from the skillet and set aside.

4

Cook the Flank Steak

In the same skillet, add the marinated flank steak. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Once cooked, remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.

5

Combine and Serve

Slice the flank steak against the grain. Return the sautéed vegetables to the skillet to warm them up briefly. Serve the sliced steak on a platter with the sautéed vegetables on the side or over the steak.
