Clase Azul Plata Margarita

Method

Clase Azul Plata Margarita

1

Prep the glass

Run a lime wedge around the rim of a chilled rocks or coupe glass. Spread the coarse sea salt on a small plate and dip the rim into the salt to coat evenly. Set the glass aside.

2

Mix the cocktail

Fill a cocktail shaker with large ice cubes. Add 2 oz Clase Azul Plata tequila, 1 oz fresh lime juice, 0.75 oz Cointreau, 0.5 oz agave syrup and 2 dashes orange bitters to the shaker.

3

Shake

Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted (shaker should feel cold).

4

Strain and serve

Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared glass over fresh large ice (or serve straight up in the chilled glass without ice if you prefer).

5

Garnish

Express a lime wheel over the drink to release oils, then drop it onto the rim or float it on top. Serve immediately.

6

Optional adjustments: For a brighter citrus profile, increase fresh lime juice to 1.25 oz and reduce agave to 0.25 oz. For a sweeter, fruitier variation, add 0.5 oz fresh orange juice and reduce the Cointreau to 0.5 oz.
