Potato Wedges

Method

Preparation

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to ensure it's hot enough for crispy wedges.

2

Wash and Cut Potatoes

Thoroughly wash the Russet potatoes under cold water to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a towel. Cut each potato into wedges by slicing them in half lengthwise and then cutting each half into 3-4 wedges depending on the size of the potato.

3

Season the Wedges

In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and dried oregano. Add the potato wedges to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the oil and seasonings.

Baking

4

Arrange on Baking Sheet

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it. Place the seasoned potato wedges in a single layer on the baking sheet, ensuring they are not overcrowded.

5

Bake the Wedges

Bake the potato wedges in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, turning them halfway through the cooking time. Bake until they are golden brown and crispy.

6

Add Parmesan Cheese

If using, sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the wedges during the last 5 minutes of baking to allow it to melt slightly.

Serving

7

Serve Hot

Once baked, remove the wedges from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve hot as a snack or side dish, with your favorite dipping sauce.
