Dough

Method

Dough Preparation

1

Mix the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add water while mixing until a dough forms.

2

Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Filling Preparation

3

Prepare the Filling

In a medium bowl, combine the ground pork, green onions, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.

Assembling the Dumplings

4

Roll Out the Dough

After resting, divide the dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a thin circle, about 3 inches in diameter.

5

Fill the Dumplings

Place a tablespoon of the pork filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape and pinch the edges to seal tightly.

Cooking the Dumplings

6

Boil the Dumplings

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully add the dumplings, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until they float to the surface and are cooked through.

7

Serve

Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon and serve hot, accompanied by soy sauce or dipping sauce of your choice.
