Preparation Steps

1

Prepare the Apples

Wash the apples thoroughly under running water. Cut them into quarters, removing the seeds and stems, but leave the skin on for extra flavor.

2

Cook the Apples

Place the quartered apples in a large pot and add the water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the apples are soft.

3

Blend the Mixture

Using a blender or food processor, blend the cooked apples and water until you have a smooth mixture. You may need to do this in batches.

4

Strain the Juice

Pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a large bowl or pitcher to separate the juice from the pulp. Press down on the solids to extract as much juice as possible.

5

Add Flavorings

Stir in the sugar and lemon juice into the strained apple juice. Adjust sweetness to taste.

6

Chill and Serve

Refrigerate the apple juice for at least an hour before serving. Serve chilled, and enjoy your fresh homemade apple juice!
